How the calculation works

Energy added = battery capacity ร— (target percentage โˆ’ current percentage). Energy purchased adds charging losses. Cost per kilometre = tariff รท vehicle efficiency รท charging efficiency. Daily, monthly, and annual cost use 1, 30, and 365 days.

What the estimate includes

The result includes the entered battery, tariff, charging-loss, charger-power, distance, and efficiency assumptions.

What the estimate excludes

It excludes demand charges, changing tariff slabs, solar generation, battery degradation, temperature, and driving conditions.

Example calculation

For a 60 kWh battery charged from 20% to 80%, the stored energy is 36 kWh. With 10% loss, the meter supplies about 40 kWh.
